AOL/OSCAR
« on: August 01, 2008, 04:30:02 pm »
I thought from a while ago that the AIM data, such as the text being transferred back and forth is in plain text... any one have any input? I'm scrolling through Wireshark after sending text and I can't seem to see any of my text.

EDIT: I've been thinking, I know you can get certificates that secure your data (I don't have one) but I was wondering if anyone knew if the new AIM 6.8 automatically encrypts the data?

Well, I figured out my problem, it seems to be AIM 6.x that was the culprit. I signed on Pidgin IM and it works...

p.s Thanks Ergot
