To the tune of $500k.  BIG money.  Someone(advertised w/DirectoryPlus) called our office wondering about getting reimbursement since they paid for books that were never delivered.

The undelivered directories were taken from the company's warehouse and were in excess of the directories Gottrell had already delivered. In other words, everyone that was supposed to get a phone directory, got one.

I never said they paid for books to be delivered to THEM, just that they paid to have so many books produced that never were delivered.  There were extra/unnecessary copies.  It might not be a huge sum they(the company advertising) lost, maybe $.003/book, but $300 is still a lot of money.

Yes, they were useless. Everyone already had a copy. The problem is that:
1) The advertiser paid for ads that were never delivered (read: fraud)
due to:
2) The distributor paid the woman for services that were never provided (read: fraud)
