Where do I change my BLNS through the command line?

If i'm not mistaken there should be a globalsettings.txt file somewhere.

vi <filename>

make edits, write and exit vi and reload / reconnect and voila!

OBTW, its BNLS.

If none of those work for you, there's a 99% chance something is wrong on your end.
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

lol. when I was taking intro to linux courses I remember this girl trying to use it. She keep typing and then said "I think I gotta save first before I see my typing, but I can't figure out how to." this was also the girl that in the intro to PC's class layed a video card down on the motherboard and said it was "in"

hahaha, nice.  I think it's almost funnier to watch people who have been using it for a while, but haven't bothered to learn any of the tricks that make it great.  They learn how to switch from command/insert mode, save, quit, search and replace, and that's about it.  It's like common... wtf are you doing using backspace to change a word!  Use cw!  And then they cry because they don't like change.  I guess they aren't voting come November. :(

None of those work. I don't see why it would be something wrong on my end as everything is set correctly. Also the error is pretty clear, it connects to battle net until it gets to blns.

I'm trying to connect to Warcraft3 battle.net.

there is a java class file that you may have to edit the verbyte in. iago / joe / anyone else know which file im talking about?

edit:

GameData.java - Joe is too lazy to set a svn up. Its true!

Thats where you make the edits to the version bytes
