You are Maddi, using Windows Vista in a public forum.

:)
What's up? I'm just here for the forums because I'm very social.
If there's anything you need or want to know about me just ask. I'm not shy.  ::)

Maddi.@East
Maddi@West

Well since it's asked of me, I guess I'll add this:

How old are you?
18

Where are you from?
Canada, Alberta

What do you do (school/work)?
N/A

What kind of music do you like?
Almost everything. Preference: Hip Hop

Do you have a girl (boy?) friend?
Nope.  ;) ;)

Are you in any other clans?
I'm not in any clan. I'm just a very social person.

Any friends around here (members or otherwise)?
Not on this site, no.

Why do you want to join?
I'm not sure I do or not. Like I said, I'm just a very social person.

Have you read our rules?
I have now. :)

What's your favourite:
Season? Summer of course.
Type of weather? Warm but not hot. Room temperature with a breeze.
Food? Spaghetti
Drink? Water. Or for a less boring answer: Rum
Sport? Volleyball
Style of game? RPG. The faster paced the better.

If I didn't answer it from the list, then either it doesn't interest me to answer, or I don't have a favorite.

Online forums don't count towards being social ;)

3 ?s:

How did you learn about these forums?
What's your favorite novel? (Please don't give a sci-fi/fantasy novel...)
What's your favorite bird sound?

They are so being social. :)
No worries, I'm social off the internet too. lol

1. Was mentioned to me by someone from BnetDev while chatting on Battlenet. Don't worry, I'm not as immature as them.

2. I don't read. Sorry. :(

3. I've never really just sat and listened to the birds, let alone know the names of them.
I did some looking up, and I found this awesome bird: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YzlTB8fEsA
I can't seem to find a website that has like a list of birds and their sounds though. Sorry, but at least give me points for effort. :)

Everyone I know calls it "pop."
I do like it. Coke would be #1 on my list.

My thoughts... It's horrible for you, but that never stopped me. :)
Whenever I go out I'm either drinking Coke or Alcohol or both at the same time.  :o

Northwest Calgary. :)
Agreed on the soda question. Who the hell calls it 'pop' anymore?

I don't call it soda OR pop, I call it by what it is. If it's 7up I call it 7up. If it's coke I call it coke. Etc.

Post a picture!

In time. :)

Agreeable, but it seems like the 90's children are into more streamline stuff, with the exception of a few people I know. Personally I like rockin' out to Led Zeppelin or some Pink Floyd.

Sure have! I don't eat dairy anymore, but I used to go there once in awhile.

My friend used to live in Arnold, right behind the Transit building, so I'd go up Jubilee all the time. I also used to bicycle to the University of Manitoba (I live in Crestview/Westwood/StJames/Unicity/whatever you want to call it), so I'd ride down Pembina past Jubilee all the time.

Well, I guess I left off "in school" because often people are interested in things they don't/didn't pursue in school.  That works, though. :)

Apparently someone (I don't know) referenced from someone (I don't know).  That's as far as I got.

Wasn't really referenced, just saw the site name and they mentioned you guys were more mature, so I was all game for that.

Mature? Please. Trolls & Co. has accomplished more than enough to warrant some respect and dignity.

The detestable thing about maturity is that it is its own antithesis; the concept is self-contradictory. It is like a plastic horse for cavemen. One of the many goals of Trolls & Co. is to expose Maturity for what it really is, and replace it with its more virtuous and better-looking counterpart, Immaturity. Off Topic is but a statue to its glory.

Perhaps. Though Immaturity is the foundation. It is just the negation of all the ideals of Maturity. It assumes nothing more than the negation of falsehoods, and is in this way undeniable.

What we really want is not an anarchy, but a communism of chaos.

By the way I updated my last post.

Ok!

i'm really drunk and I ate too much food. Now I'm laying in bed drunk and unable to fall asleep. Puking may be in order before I finally fall asleep.

GO!

(of course I['m not laying in bed right now, I decided to go drink some water and now I'm at the computer killing time so I can maybe digest!!)

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

There are a select few individuals who are "mature" here.  For the most part, we try to keep it at least 9001% more mature than vL, but, sometimes, people slip by.

It's not difficult to be more mature then battle.net or the average battle.net forum. Maybe every other place on the internet except 4chan. Even neopets is competition for most, and it's mostly 10-12 year olds.

But yes, you guys are more mature, I hope you're not boring though. That would be a shame. :)

I don't pay attention to actors, just the movies themselves. I don't see a movie because of a certain actor, or not see it for the same reason.

And so next question would be what is my favorite Bond film, and I haven't really seen one in a long time, so it would be quite difficult to answer.

Well, this definitely isn't as acceptable as answering "Sean Connery", but at least you didn't answer Pierce Brosnan

You guys do know that there are girls OUTSIDE of the internet too, right?

Also, hi Maddi.

Oh it's not them. I tend to carry on my own topics forever. I've never had a introduction thread that hasn't been at least like 50 posts.

Also, hi Camel.

Sorry if girls scare you...
Don't underestimate me. I am very very scary.

I'd like to interject that Newby was actually one of the nicer people from x86 I tried to associate with. Talking over the internet is way different than in person, though... Which is why I fully intend to make him as awkward as possible should I ever actually meet him. Har, har.

No offense Sidoh but that line is getting old.

I don't like the words "nerd" and "geek" as a form of self-identity -- it's vague, trite, and at the same very provincial. The words were originally intended to mean that someone is smart, but I personally don't see it this way; to me they mean nothing more than a lack of self-confidence, and an inability to identify oneself outside of a few very narrow interests. The people who constantly identify themselves as a "nerd" or "geek" are usually pretty annoying. (You're an exception, of course!)

I can do little more than roll my eyes.

I view a nerd as someone who is proud of their obsession with all matters academic.  I like these kinds of people.  Therefore, I think nerds are awesome.  If you don't like that, I suspect you'll get over it. :)

I was exaggerating a little, or maybe a lot; everyone calls themselves a nerd at times. But the identifier is extremely convoluted, with many mixed connotations. It presents one less as an individual, and more as a manufactured image, which is why many people who lack self-confidence use it -- it's a crutch. But I don't mean to generalize about all people who use the word frequently; I'm just pointing out some criticisms on the culture of the word.

Agreed. I guess it might be a little overdone because a lot of people on this forum probably are or consider themselves nerds, but it never gets old to me. I'm very proud of the fact that I'm a nerd and a geek, even if I'm not the most 'qualified', even for a girl.

I do hate that fact that there's a lot of "nerd"  merchandise (like girl T-shirts that say 'I <3 Nerds') that is overdone and worn by people that have in fact no idea what being a nerd is, or proceed to rebuke people for being 'nerdy'. That's always bugged me.

Why do you feel the need to attach the negative connotations to the word? Also, I find your definitions for said words to be very lax.

It's not every day you find an attractive woman with a bubbly sense of humor and personality that:

1)  Spending hours on the internet a day
2)  Logs into Battle.net
3)  Chats in BotDev
4)  Willingly engages in conversation with more intellectually and/or technologically inclined individuals of the opposite gender (Ender, this is just for you)
5)  Joins a forum with the intent to increase social interaction

Did I miss anything?

Yes, but things not being fair makes you angry, and it's the anger resulting from unfairness that motivates you to seek revenge?
