Weeds is awesome.  I remember the first couple episodes of seasons 2 and 3 were a bit slow, but worth watching.

Yeah it's really good, the 2nd season starts slow but the following seasons pick back up. It's definitely a dark comedy though and deals less directly with drugs as the seasons progress.

Big Bang Theory!  It's meant for non-nerdy people, mostly, so it's kinda of expected that real nerdy people wouldn't like it as much.  My parents love it.
