*yesterday our county government voted to, effectively, ban fireworks.  You can no longer buy or possess any of the cool aerial things in the county.  My prof is a HUGE supporter of banning fireworks.  every year, he said, he submits a bill to the state legislature to COMPLETELY ban fireworks.  He's the old bastard that complains about the fireworks/canon at our football games too.
I hope he dies soon.
