On booze?  For me ... maybe $40?  If other people bum (I'm nice to chicks) then it'll be more.

Hmm, is the price difference that much? $40 = a 24 here.

Wow, nice. I would have thought it would have been higher for you. We spend like $150-$200/month. I used to be the one that bought it at the beginning of the year, but now my roommate usually does so it's a nice situation for me. We give away a lot though because people party in our room a lot. Once in awhile we'll just get 1 or 2 cases, which would be about $15 or $30, respectively. What do you buy that gets you drunk so much for $40/month, or do you just have a low tolerance?

A 24 pack here costs $10.47 for Natural Light or Keystone, a little less for Milwaukee's Best. It's about $15-18 for "normal" domestics (Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors, etc.).

HOLY CRAP!  A 30 of Miller Lite is about $22.  I buy bottles (tastes better) so it's like $16 for 18, if it's on sale it's $12 for 18.

Good beer is usually about $1+ per bottle.  Like Sam Adams 6packs are about $8.  A 6 of Corona is about $9.  Local stuff is usually cheaper and better.  I need to start getting growlers of some of it.

Honestly, I'm not drunk all the time.  Hard to believe, I know.  But $40 would be about 3 18 packs of Miller Lite.  Sometimes I'll buy a 5th of Jack Daniels or Everclear ... but that's only another $17 per bottle (and then the mixer stuff) and it doesn't happen too often.

During the summer I bought a 30 pack a week, that was about $22/week.  Sometimes more, sometimes less during the summer, but I think that about averaged to one per week with a few people drinking from it.

Yeah, that's crazy. The only beer I keep here (I don't usually drink it, it's for guests) is exactly $20 for a 12, and that's all it comes in. I believe an average 24 is up to $34 or $35. Cheap ones are $28 - $30.

Wow with those prices college life must suck in Canada.

CrAz3D

I think Canada would suck, period.

We got a 24-pack of Newcastle for $20, and a 24-pack of Karl Strauss for $20. A 36 pack of Bud Light could have just run us like... $11. :)

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Some people, like myself, don't drink. For many reasonable others, drinking doesn't define their lives. In the set of people 5 standard deviations to the left of the mean in intelligence, you would find some people who agree with you.

topaz~

Show me someone who does not drink, and I will show you someone who is boring.

That's such a meaningless platitude.  "If you don't drink, you're boring!"  Who cares if some people who drink classify those who don't as boring?  I certainly don't.

I'm with Ender on this one.
