Already discussed this with people on my floor. Wait for people to piss off ledges, slur, etc., then hand back keys and tell them they're fine to drive!

While there would probably be a placebo effect I doubt it would be anywhere near the true affects of alcohol. Plus when people did find out they'd be pissed. In the end it's a bad idea that would result in a less-than-fun night, mad people, and a waste of money.

This. Holds true in most parties as well, most people come wasted already or at least a bit buzzed. No one wants to be stiff at a party.

It's pretty hypothetical... not many people try to pass off non-alcoholic beer as alcoholic, either.  It would be easy to fix the situation so that people came sober.

Yeah nobody shows up to a party sober. I know last year we'd start drinking like 3 hours before the fraternity parties started (bands usually start at 10). Now that I live in the house I start a little later since I can just go up to my room and get more alcohol, or if we have house alcohol I can get that.

(except game days when I start around noon)

edit: bands usually start at 10, on game days a lot of houses will also have an afternoon band which starts when the football game ends (4pm)

fuck me. poker night, I went from being in first place with 2 opponents to being out in 2 hands. The other two are still playing, and we started 5 hours ago with about 20 people. lost $10 and I'll probably fail a test because I didn't study since I was playing poker for a lot longer than I expected.
