Technicalities are fun :)

Yeah, some guy in my WoW guild is still banging his head on his desk because I fooled him with that one lol.

There's an old homless lady who collects cigarette butts.  She's been doing it for so long, she has it down to a science: exactly 8 butts provides enough tobacco to make one new cigarette.  One day, she finds 64 butts.  How many cigarettes can she make?

The soldier one isn't funny, and applies to any cemetary. It may just not be funny to me because I've heard it a ton of times. My mom always (ever since I was little, when she did it like everytime, but now it's less frequent) says it when we go by the cemetary that's near our house.

Umm... 8? :D

And yeah, I phrased that question wrong, kinda. It's supposed to be:

How many of the soldiers in Alrlington Cemetary are buried there?

What about the ones doing 21-gun salutes at funerals while several other soldiers attend?

None. She doesn't make them, she just collects them? :(

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

You're both wrong.

The answer is 9 -- 8 for the ones she finds.  Then she smokes the 8, and makes 1 more.  Aha!

That's pretty good, lol

I added a few more this afternoon, they're all really good.

River Crossing (A Classic)
Apples & Oranges
Gold Coins
Wise Men

There's two in particular I want to add, but their answers are going to require me to do some HTML formatting since they contain tables (they're both pretty long answers).

Those really are more word problemish than riddleish.

Sidoh

Riddles are word problems.

A riddle is a form of literature designed to test the reader/listeners ingenuity (ability to think creatively.)

I was referring to a world problem in the sense of a word problem in math class. I seem to consider them similar, but certainly different things. Riddles, in my opinion, are more of a play on words type of thing, not something you should have to work out with paper and pencil.

Sidoh

A riddle is a problem that involves words. Riddles are world problems. Kthxbai.

I just added another really good one.

Your 'riddles' suck then and aren't worth doing. Kthxbai.

Edit:

I don't get that last riddle. If I was put in this situation I would have asked him which one he went down, since he obviously didn't get rich or famous.
