New books:
« on: November 15, 2005, 12:34:38 pm »
Because of all you jerks, I started thinking about some games whose books have been lost through the ages (in other words, they belong to friends that I don't see often).  So I had to go buy some of them.  T&T is very rare, so I was lucky to find it at a reasonable price:

Haha, that seems pretty cheap for something that's "very rare". Cheaper than you can buy most of those books in stores.

Side notes:
You bought super smash brothers, that game kicks ass!
I like thunderbird's little "this might be a scam" message, haha

Haha, I didn't even see that.  I could have been scammed!!

And yeah, my friend paid over $50 to have it ordered in specially to a local store.  What a sucker.  And this one is apparently still in the original plastic.

It may be "very rare", but that doesn't mean there's any demand for it :)

and yeah, Smash Bros totally owns.  Right now is the best time to get n64 games -- they are neither in demand (people have better systems) nor rare (like NES games are hard to find now)

Oh my.  I remember many late nights spent playing Super Smash Brothers on my friend's n64... I liked playing Link and Kirby! :D

Hehe, good times! :)

On topic!:  Nice books, iago!  They look very informative.  ;)

I always played as Ness.  He was the best once you got the hang of him :)

I played with a non-default uniform, though.  I always used black-yellow stripes instead of his default orange/yellow.

I borrwed my friend's T&T stuff.  In addition to two versions of the rulebook and a cdrom, it has pages and pages of hand-written information (spells, monsters, etc.) from his ex-stepdad.  Pretty elite. :)

What's on the CDROM? Anything that would be useful for us newbie players?

I'm not entirely sure, actually.

But the rules I'm planning to play by aren't the real ones anyways, they're the heavily modified version known as AT&T.

The only original rules I plan on using is their magic spell list and equipment list.  I'll transcribe those to computer at some point before we play.
