Small server outage today

I got a surge protector, so at some point today I'm going to hook it up.  It'll require a reboot.  :-o!

That sounds like a challenge to me!  If it has a decent capacitor to cushon it, it is completely possible.  And I think most power supplies do. 

In any case, I didn't try it, and it's been done.  So it should be online forever now :)

It is possible.  Hook a computer up an outlet with a switch, and if you turn the power off you will notice therre is a few second delay (the amount of time varies quite a bit though.)
