I can remember a day when it was raining in my front yard yet (partly) sunny in my backyard.  It only lasted a minute or two, but rather common for there to be spots of sun with spots of rain ;)

Sunny raining?

I know it sounds bizarre, but it happens *all the time* in the Phoenix area.  Well, not lately, because we've been without rain for 140 days straight now (z0mg it's teh gl0bal w4rming!!1!!!), but it is a unique thing, to be raining hard and be able to see blue sky.  I'm sure it's not uniquely a Phoenix thing, but I never saw it in Chicago.

I think its just the clouds not being directly in front of the sun, but close enough that it rains in your area ;o.

Uhhhh no.  I'm talking several major portions of clear blue sky.  I would know.  I happen to live here.   >:(

Yeah.  THat happened to me one day last summer.

It was raining and I was playing basketball.  The bottom half of my driveway got soaked.  The top half of my driveway was completely dry.  I was like "What the hell?!"

We get sun-showers here occasionally.  But I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant in his original post :P

We also haven't had rain in about 5 months (150 days).  But we've had plenty of snow, so I guess that counts :)

(that's a lie, we've had a lot of rain this winter.  But shhh)

Is it true that Canada has metric months? IE, 10 months per year?

Metric years... yes.

It is currently 2407.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...
