You might be right about that, Joe.

I need to conserve my bandwith, sorry.

Installing Ubuntu right now (still want Slackware). Didn't remember my 5.1 install disk was corrupt until after it was installed, hehe. (I'm on my Mac right now)

Why don't you try FreeBSD?  The barebones .iso is only about 50mb.  From there, you can download/install everything you want over FTP, so you don't have to download anything you don't want.

Joe

Alright. Seeing as how my Googling skills really suck, proven by my last endevor into FreeBSD, could you link me? ^_^

www.freebsd.org

I think there's a download link or something on their main page.

Joe

Thanks iago.

I just totally killed my computer. Windows = corrupt. Who would have guessed that would happen? =/.

I have the FreeBSD disk burned, ready to install. Waiting on my slow-as-molases-in-January network to finish transfering the stuff I salvaged from my disk, then installing.

Krazed

Haha, I have a dual-boot Windows XP / Slackware 10.2 right now. However, my windows partition is fucked++ and restarts itself, drops from the internet every 5 minutes. And I've figured out how to get everything running how I want it on linux. So, I'm all out linux too.  :P
It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.

Go Krazed! You rock.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Joe

I'm all out UNIX, as soon as I get this damned installer to work.

@Krazed: That sounds a lot like you've got your hands on blaster. =p
