So.. your crit is about 500 more damage then mine (350 without vul), same cast time, you have a pet, more health and a crowd control ability that is hard to break and doesn't heal the person.  I see.

My highest crit is a bit short of 400, I think. However, I'm affliction specced so if I see someone level 40 or lower I can lay down Curse of Agony, Corruption and Siphon Life and watch them run and die (I'm only level 46, too!).

Joe, just because you suck doesn't mean Locks are underpowered.  I closed beta'd a lock and loved it.

I didn't get any better, but my lock did. :). I'm guessing it's something Blizzard did.

Also, I'm mistaken. I just crit'd something up in Azshara for 555 shadow damage.

Shadow mastery/ruin ftw. +10% shadow damage, +5% to crit, crits do +100% more bonus damage, after a crit the next 5 sources of shadow dmg do 20% more... you are talking serious fucking damage :D, esp with +% crit and +damage gear

Ruin is nice, but for PvE (Non-raiding) and PvP Soul Link is amazing.  It truely is overpowered.  Sure, it can be dispelled in PvP (Half of the people don't even know how to do it anyway), but against classes that can't dispel (everyone that isn't a Shaman or Priest...), it's literally like having 6 shields.

The crits from Ruin may seem very awesome, but they're not reliable.  You can two shot some people, but a lot of the times you're going to be too intent on casting Shadow Bolt and Soul Fire to realize a Rogue behind you just stealthed and will soon come up and two shot you.  Soul Link is awesome because all you have to do is hop around, cast a few dots on people and hop around some more.

Wait until you get into BWL to these one guys that I've seen warlocks do 4k+ damage to. I hope your MT has good aggro.
