I've read a lot of news articles that show a continual trend of Katrina evacuees moving in & crime going out and other articles that show crime decreasing as Katrina evacuees move out.

Sorta makes ya wonder what kinda crap went down in New Orleans itself.  Also, why didnt the city do anything to clean it up.  If its a supposed great shipping location why didnt these people have jobs, keep out of crime, and put their kids through school?
Oh well...maybe its better now that everything is being rebuilt and people are moving away from what seems to be a cess pool for crime.
