I think I've mentioned this game to most people who are into roleplaying.  It's a futuristic-styled game with a plethora of very neat features.  I won't attempt to explain it in great detail, as I would never be able to do it justice.  Instead, I'll give you a bit of background information.  I've played it with my old boss off and on for the past five years or so.  He's been working on it (steadily, but not constantly) for around twenty years.  He used to work for TSR, which I'm sure some or most of you recognize as the founders of D&D.  The rules are elaborate, well designed and magnificently effective.

He's made the bulk of the game available publicly in a zip of PDF documents.  There's a store with a listing of other things he's selling, such as doubling dice (almost all rolls in metascape involve a doubling die, which he actually co-owns the patent on).
