My economics professor sent us a bunch of graphs of per-pupil spending and average SAT scores by state.  I can try to dig them up and post them if you're interested.

That's just because the south represents a small corner of the US, so naturally more big name schools are outside of Dixie. However the south has many great schools, a few being Duke, UVa, and of course, HS-C. Plus, we're rich in history and culture.

I'm talking about bad schools, not the absence of good schools.  I'm not talking about Universities; I'm mainly referring to high schools.  I suppose I could have included them as well, though.  I'm pretty sure the best universities in the US are either on the East or West coast (MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Berkley, etc).

I'm going to have to agree with Sidoh on this one.  Those pictures with the Confederate flag are asinine.  Really, Christmas isn't supposed to be about celebrating painful times in a nation's history.
