Back up all your stuff, repartition, install your OS, copy all your stuff back.

uhm, that's way a lot of work, reinstalling OS.

there a way to do it now w/out Norton Partition Magic?

hopefully this "Disk management" thing works out nicely

bah, I cant add the unallocated space to C: because C: is is after the unallocated space...or something it sounds like :(
.....so now I have 24 gig of random not used space, hmm

I've said this before in a thread a lot like this, but I've often heard it called "Partition Tragic."  If you're going to use it, make sure everything important is backed up.

If you need them to be merged, the safest thing is to do what iago said.

lol, that's probably a good thing.

I thought there was a utility that ran before the OS booted, though?  It's been a while since I've seen it.

Vista allows you to extend partitions natively, from Disk Management, if you have unallocated space. (IIRC)

Not sure if this is permitted on software striped or mirrored volumes (via dynamic disks), however.

Cant extend C:.
Would the free spacing being in front of C: be an issue?
