Perhaps it's only funny if you're familiar with Lovecraft's work, so let me explain the joke a bit.

Cthulhu is imprisoned on earth, dead but dreaming, etc. The proper incantation can bring Him back, and part of that incantation is what the analyst reads. Obviously, he read the dangerous parts of it, and summed Cthulhu.

And by the way, it's not from France, it's on a French Web site. The site it's originally from is actually Japanese. If you're going to make racist jokes, at least make them right.

If I understand correctly from what I've heard, the incantation is "Cthulhu." By saying his name, AKA, the call of Cthulhu, you summon him. And he kills everyone. That's a big reason everyone associates with naming the song "The Call of Ktulu", besides the obvious reason that Ktulu is a valid spelling.

But of course, I've got to be wrong, so what am I wrong about? :P

No, the summoning of Cthulhu is a longish ritual. The spelling of his name, "Cthulhu" is phoenetic, so "Ktulu" isn't invalid, although it's never spelled like that in Lovecraft's stories.

That line translates from R'lyehian to, "In his house in R'lyeh, Cthulhu waits dreaming"
