I'm flying back to Winnipeg in about 2 hours, and I'm coming back to Calgary on July 1. While there, I'll be online just like I normally am.

Newby

Winnerpeg eh. I think you meant Loserpeg.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Joe

I think he meant Winterpeg. It's much closer to Winnerpeg. :P

You might be right about that, Joe.

Not at this time of the year, it would be more likely to call it bloodyhotopeg.

So the whole flight was fine, the plane left on time, it went quickly, and we touched on ground ahead of schedule. But because there was a thunderstorm in Winnipeg, the ground crews couldn't come onto the tarmac so none of the planes could disembark. That went from about 2 hours before we got there till an hour after we arrived. Then after the hour was up, the 25 planes ahead of us had to disembark and re-load, with limited groundcrews. That took another 1.5 hours. So 2.5 hours of sitting in the plane, which is more time than the flight itself!

But I had a good book with me (Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman), so it wasn't alll bad. :)

But I'm here!

It's not Winterpeg. It's been in the 30's the last few days.  :P

Beats Vancouver at least.

My flight got in at about 10:50 P.M. local time and there was some crazy weather.... my dad was flying and he said it was tricky. Lot's of turbulance and lot's of lightning flashes. Good thing you didn't come back tonight.... (and sorry for the double post..... hopefully the moderators here are not so anal )

Sidoh

Do that again and we'll ban you! :)

Joe

I don't know about the rest of the people, but I'm very liberal in my moderating, as far as double posting.

Anyhow, for a minute I was thinking 30 Fahrenheit. :P. 30-39C is 86-102F, so pretty bad actually. Worse than Wisconsin, even, I think.

EDIT -
iago, you had something on your desk that you said you were going to mail to me when you next got home. A hardware modem, IIRC. Or did we already discuss this, last time you came home? Deja vu.

JK, righty?  ::)  :D

Anyhow....

There was this guy on the flight who had hair like elvis and he went to the washroom like 7 times. It was really annoying. Up and down and up and down.

Then this older lady decided she was going to go to the washroom when we had already started our descent..... the seatbelt light was on and the flight attendant mentioned it to her but she ignored her. After she got into the washroom it started to get real bumpy -- I'm like lol what a retard... sucks to be you.  :D

But yeah, wonderful day in Winnipeg today. Vancouver was great.  ;)
