All JavaOp questions go here!
« on: August 04, 2007, 03:56:12 am »
If you have a question to ask about JavaOp, please post a topic here. I simply don't have the time and energy to answer all your questions via Private Message, nor do I want to burden others by referring you to them. If you post here, you allow those who do have the time to help you with your problem, and it'd probably be quicker that way as well, since I can be away from my computer for long periods of time.

Thank you!
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

I just installed javaop2 on my mac. It seems to be working for the most part. The problem is the bot constantly disconnects. I was wondering why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Also is there a way for the bot to auto reconnect?

I am currently using a starcraft account because when I use wc3 I get a version error message any help fixing that would be great as well thanks.

1. Select the bot to load at startup. File -> Load at startup -> <Botname>
2. Activate auto connect in the bot settings. Settings -> This bot's settings -> Default plugin -> connect automatically

You have to change the bnls server url to login in with warcraft3. http://www.x86labs.org/forum/index.php/topic,9118.0.html.
I use hdx.jbls.org for warcraft3 roc. Settings -> Global Settings -> Battle.net Login Plugin -> hdx.jbls.org

To solve your disconnect problem we need more information. Start javaop from the console and and post them here. Perhaps we can see something in the logs.

I would imagine that the disconnect problem is related to Blizzard's "Warden" program. I don't have time to provide more info, but Im' sure somebody else here can.

Yeah. StarCraft is rendered useless right now by some antihacking measures. You can't stay connected for more than two minutes.

Diablo II and WarCraft II should work properly, though..

I have never been completely sure, but does this site still offer help when people ask if some one may have the time to write them a plugin?

It's possible. There are several active people here who might be capable, if it's something that they find interesting.
