The Ringer
« on: December 28, 2005, 01:09:39 pm »
I left The Ringer rather disappointed.

As a comedy, it had a lot of funny moments.  And it did help people understand the challenges of mentally disabled people, showing them in a pretty positive light.  I have a lot of respect for the movie for doing that, I thought it was going to be a whole lot more  negative towards them.

ut the story was really weak.  Everything was pretty predictable, and the ending was really abrupt and it just didn't leave me feeling a sense of closure.  It's hard to describe, and I'm no critic, but I was unimpressed.

Personally I dont think Johnny should have been an actor after jackass was over. I think he is retarded enough without having to act like one. My friends saw the movie and they said it was funny "Knowing the fact they are 14 and 13 left me to belive it wasent all that great"

I fully disagree with that, Knoxville is a great actor and a funny guy.  He did really well in the roll, it's just unfortunate that the movie wasn't as good as it could have been.
