Thinking about buying this monitor...

Discuss. =) Thoughts, Like/Dislike?

19" is pretty awesome, I'm not really a fan of widescreen. Donno why. Contrast 1500:1 is awesome, great resoloutions. Brightness = Love.

It is good to be good, but it is better to be lucky.

LG is a decent brand and the specs are definately good for the price though I'm not sure how big a 19" widescreen really is.

I always give the same advice for monitor purchases though: nothing beats Samsung for picture quality.

I got a 20.5" ViewSonic LCD, 1680x1050, 800:1 CR/300 cd/m2 brightness.  Very crisp and clear, I see why people prefer them over CRTs.  I spent $300 at CompUSA.
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

I've got a similar one, but from Costco.  Go lifetime return policy.

Why?  At work, I plug my tablet PC into a second monitor and use dual monitors.  Both my roommate and my mom have docking stations, and use a desktop monitor instead of the laptop monitor when they're there.

You don't need a desktop PC to use a desktop monitor.
