AntiVirus' Home for Lost Toys / Bought Samsung Galaxy S3
September 11, 2012, 03:38:08 PM
As the title alludes to I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 from AT&T. Does anyone else have one or does anyone have much experience with the phone?  If so, what kinds of things do you suggest I do with it, what apps do you enjoy, etc.  I had the original Samsung Galaxy S, but I didn't do much more than just download games for it.  I'd like to tinker with this one a little more.

Entertainment District / Paranormal Activity 2

Just saw it and found it to be very entertaining and creepy.  However, I also felt like it was very predictable.

I would say more, but I am afraid I would spoil way too much.

I have this friend named Joseph.  I have known him since I was 6 years old.  We were the best of friends until mid-way through High School.  We both had a similar group of friends, but we both preferred different ones, so we eventually drifted apart a little bit.  After I moved to Springfield, from Kansas City, we fell even more apart; however, we still spoke to each other.  On Sunday 6/21/2009 his Dad found him dead in his bed.  He apparently died in his sleep from taking a pain medication, before going to bed, that he happened to be allergic to.  I found out on Tuesday while at work.  His funeral is this Saturday, and I am trying to get off work so I can go to it.  This has been a pretty crappy week. :(

QuoteHuman beings are not obviously equipped to be nature's gladiators. We have no claws, no armor. That we eat meat seems surprising, because we are not made for chewing it uncooked in the wild. Our jaws are weak; our teeth are blunt; our mouths are small. That thing below our noses? It truly is a pie hole.  To attend to these facts, for some people, is to plead for vegetarianism or for a raw-food diet. We should forage and eat the way our long-ago ancestors surely did. For Richard Wrangham, a professor of biological anthropology at Harvard and the author of "Catching Fire," however, these facts and others demonstrate something quite different. They help prove that we are, as he vividly puts it, "the cooking apes, the creatures of the flame."
This is a very interesting theory on how homo erectus diverged from apes about two million years ago.  Dr. Wrangham's theory is a new, unique, look on how we came to be, all based on the simple fact that we learned how to tame fire and cook our food.

Has anyone else seen it?

Personal Thoughts:
I really liked the movie.  I went in expecting to like it since I am a big fan of Vampire movies and I wasn't at all disappointed.  This movie actually got me started on reading the books.  I finished the first two rather quickly and now I am waiting for the next two to come in the mail.

That's really good news to the majority of people who are at risk.  Since currently the only preventative drugs are very expensive and a lot of people can't afford them.

AntiVirus' Home for Lost Toys / Well damn...
September 27, 2008, 02:07:49 PM
My Bose headphones broke!  I am super mad. :(

I have had my headphones for over a year now, and the other day while listening to music as I walked to Physics, my left headphone stopped working.  I just assumed that it was because my headphone plug came out of the ipod a little and since I was just about to class I just turned off my iPod and pushed my headphone plug back into my ipod.  After class was over I put my headphones back on and turned my ipod back on and the left headphone was still not working.  I took my ipod out of my pocket to see if my case was blocking the plug or something, but instead it turns out that the cord from my headphones to the headphone plug got pulled out somehow.  I have absolutely no idea how that happened and I am not at all thrilled about that.

This is what I have: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/audio_headphones/around_ear_headphones/index.jsp

Anyone know if there are any stores that can fix this problem?   Such as a Radioshack or something?  I'll call the Bose customer support here in a bit, but I want to see if I can get them fixed first.
