I used to draw mosquitoes with exceptionally long proboscises (resembling wangs).  I'd draw the obscene part in a brown dry-erase marker and the rest in red.  We had these Mira things in geometry we used for drawing symmetric stuff which were tinted red.  When you looked through them, red marker was invisible.

Ah, high school was fun. :)
