Why not require that the worker learn English instead of firing the boss for not knowing spanish?  Either way, you're down a man, may as well lose the less qualified spanish speaking guy.

Because English is not an official language of the US, and as a supervisor, the boss has the responsibility of being able to communicate with his crew.  It's fairly straightforward.

Not being able to speak English doesn't make him any less qualified than not being able to speak Spanish.  Even if the majority of the nation speak one.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

Well, the manager still isn't qualified if he can't speak to his workers, and the non-english speaking guy still has every right to the job.

Fighting fires is one talent. Managing a team of fire fighters is an entirely different talent.

Come on. It's like you're defending your stupidity. Stupidly and poorly, might I add.
