Last night, from about  7:30pm - 1:30am, there were 7 death metal bands on stage:

With Passion
Despised Icon
Skinless
Ingurgitate
Immolation
Deicide

It was an amazing night.  They aren't as good as Killswitch Engage at playing the audience, but it was still good.  And they were all awesome bands, not a single one was bad.

Sounds like a fun time, was it a small concert or was it at a big place?  I always find that small concerts are better.

I dislike metal. I want to be able to understand the person, not have them screaming into the microphone, but that's just me and my experiences with metal.

I dislike rap.  I like to be able to think that pimps, drugs, bitches, and murder are all perfectly acceptable, and when you get punished for any/all of the above, the world is out to get you.

Rap has nothing to do with topic... He, iago, was talking about Deiced and other metal bands, and I was talking about how I dislike metal. Where does rap come in on that?

He is talking about a genre of music? That's like asking why you said you dislike metal, there is nothing asking if you like or dislike metal in iago's post. Then you're going to say how my post doesn't relate to topic, well neither does yours. Obviously, it's more like having a conversation if you sway a bit off topic.

I can understand the lyrics quite well, dispite the fact that they are largely screamed. 

Death Metal promotes Death.  Rap promotes crime.  The key is to not take them seriously, it's just done for shock value.

Although Rap artists tend to be criminals, it seems, whereas Death Metal artists aren't typically murderers (except the ones that went to jail for drinking human blood on stage.. that's different)

Depends really. I like some metal, but if a band does nothing but scream, every word of every song, I can't even listen to them. That's garbage. When it incorporates the singing and screaming, I really like it. Probably same reason I love emo.  :)

Speaking of all this, during the show somebody yelled "your singing fucking sucks".  He said "I don't sing.  I scream.  Singing is like that lalala bullshit that you do in the shower, singing Michael Jackson shit while you're in the shower masturbating."
