How was 18 quadrillion hours of church?

It sucked. I can't divulge the ritual parts, but the majority of the time (like 4 hours) was spent sitting in a candle lit room (blindfolded) waiting for everyone to go through the 2nd part of it because it was done individually. I got back to school at about 2:30, and the parties close at 2 so I just hung out in a friends room until 6 but I didn't drink.

CrAz3D

you didnt have to do the second part?

parties have a 'closing' time???????

no everyone did it individually, so it took a really long time to get through everyone one at a time.

Yes, the fraternity parties have to close up at 2AM. The cops come in and turn the lights on and make everyone go elsewhere.

Thats amusing.

It sucks, but I can see why they do it. You can't really complain considering they don't issue citations for underage drinking or anything. One time my buddy wanted to fight the cops after they closed the party, then the cops made fun of him.

Couldn't they all just go to another party?  When the cops get to that one couldn't they go back to the first?

This is how our fraternity housing is set up:

All of those houses in/around the circle are fraternity houses (there's 11) and they don't all throw parties at once, they usually alternate weekends but a lot have been on probation this year so there's been less parties. Anyway, so say at a max there are 3 parties going on...it isn't hard for the police to shut them all down because they're all within walking distance of one another.

Nope, but I might call it a "count". That seems like a more reasonable comparison to me.

<edit> I also frequently type it as "Can.", and I frequently type yours as "USA". Is there something wrong with abbreviations?

One lost their charter until 2010 earlier this semester, and another is in danger of losing theirs.

Because it's a well-kept secret that Canada isn't actually a country -- it's really just the 51st state of America.
