My GPA was 3.4 for a good chunk of university, ended up at 3.62 when I graduated. *shrug* it didn't make any difference at all.

Shut the fuck up. GPA means nothing in the real world, at least nothing more than you followed the system and will probably end up middle-management at best. Newby has a respectable GPA, but is also spending time socializing and making connections for the future.
