Facebook killed the radio star. And by radio star, I mean the premise of distributed forums around the internet. And that got got by Instagram/SnapChat. And that got got by TikTok. Where the fuck is the internet we once knew?

When we were distributing the build image in my high school lab, my boss and I exchanged riddles. He had some really good ones, so I whipped up a quick 'module' on my website and added a few I could think of. I'll populate the list with more riddles later on.

Priate Treasure
Egg Yolks
Cowboy
Socks

Bleh. Here's a list of them.

trust

I hate riddles. Actually I like them, but I hate them too because I can never get them. That Cowboy one was easy though!

CrAz3D

I got screwed on the egg thing, dang it!

Blaze

I messed up on the pirate one, but all the others were easy.
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

The egg one is wrong. "The Answer:
Even in English egg yolks are yellow."

The question is grammatical, in which case the second answer is correct.  The answer given is the technical answer.

Additionally, they are all EASY.

iago

To go with the socks one, you should have another question "How many do you have to pull out to guarentee you have two different colors."

It's a trick question. I assume you've encountered them?

You'd have to give more information (or the answer would contain variables, obviously).

Please -- feel free to submit your own. Post 'em here and I'll add them.

It's a valid question with an invalid answer.  There is a difference.  And I will submit some as soon as I find my good ones.

Pffffff, these are from memory! Kthxbai!

God damnit, it's a trick question. It makes you think beyond an answer!

Ergot

(17:54:15) Sidoh: I love cosmetology

Sidoh

That's an egg WHITE. The yolk is the yellow thing in the middle.

I will unfortunately have to agree with RaBBiT here.  The question says "Which is proper English", and "Egg yolks are white" is proper English.

If you want to switch it to "Which is correct", then you're doing good.

Also, for my socks question, you'd have to say "there are 20 socks of each color..." which is what you should also say with your Socks question.  Extra facts help mislead people :)

Hehe, true.

I suppose I could make the answer something like:

Quote
The correct of the two is Egg yolks are white, but even in English, egg yolks are Yellow.

iago

Or you can change the question to, "Which of these is correct?" and the answer to "Neither -- ..."

That would still contradict what rabbit is saying, since he's stating the answer does not directly correlate with the question. I changed it. =)
