My phone service is up for renewal soon...
« on: May 09, 2006, 05:42:56 pm »
I'd like to get a phone with Bluetooth, camera, & basic features. (I have my eye on the slvr)

I'm looking at either renewing with Verizon or going to TMobile.
Have any of you had both Verizon & TMobile?  Which do you prefer?

I know its sad to base the company off of what cool phones they have, but if they're behind in cool phones then they aren't getting customers = they have no money = bad network (my theory @ least).

So, do I switch?

I had T-Mobile. Absolutely fucking loved it.

My dad switched to Verizon. I fucking hate this service. I can't believe I can call someone, get complete shit reception, hang up, re-dial, and have perfect reception. Without moving a fucking centimeter.

I hate Verizon. My dad plans to switch back, I just hope it's soon.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

My friends have had similar experiences with Verizon to what Newby described.  I've had T-Mobile for five years, never had a problem with it.  In fact, since I've officially been a customer for three years, I just got the 1000 minutes + free nights + free weekends + free long distance + free roaming plan for $39.95 a month, plus they gave me a deal on 400 SMS/MMS messages (I don't remember how much) and a RAZR v3 phone for $45.

I <3 T-Mobile.

It definately depends on where you live, and from what those guys said, apparently quite a bit. Up here (new england area), verizon has by far the best plans, best coverage, and best service, and tmobile has been nothing but trouble for those I know with it. I have verizon now and it's awesome. My last phone was actually a nextel i730, and even though it was a brick I loved it, much better than all the trendy new phones. I only ended up switching because of price (nextel was ridiculous) and coverage area.

But yeah,  those guys are much closer to you, so I'd expect their experiences to be more in line with what you would expect.

It's sort of the same for me, though I'm more mid-Atlantic.  T-Mobile and Verizon are both really great around here (South Jersey, SE PA), though Verizon is cheaper because we get their DSL :P

I'm RIGHT next to El Paso (I think 1million people), and a few hundred miles from Phoenix and Albuquerque.  Area is somewhat mountaineous, maybe like Gilbert, AZ? I think.

GSM.

Also go with T-Mobile. Verizon (atleast around here) is good for phone services too but T-Mobile is just my personal favorites. It'd be much wiser to ask people around your area however.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

I know few a people people with TMobile, they all like it.

I have Verizon, which is decent.  I found it interesting that Verizon uses CDMA instead of the more popular GSM, hm.
Sound quality on verizon is decent, I'm not sure though, it might be better on TMobile.  Maybe I'll go to a store & be like "let me talk on your phone"

WHOA, Verizon coverage is WAY better than TMobile it appears

Cingular is where it's at. :)
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

Even if it is, it doesn't matter that much.  T-mobile has partnerships with several other GSM providers; I've never had a problem with not being able to use it.  Except when I was hiking that one time, but pretty much everyone expects not to be able to use their phones when they're up in the mountains.
