So...when do you "End shower"?  Do you even get washed, or do you just turn it on?

I start it when I brush my teeth so it's warm when I get in :P

Yeah, I think mouthwash stops the blood from coagulating or something.

The mouthwash is probably recommended especially in the cases where the bleeding is coming from tender gums // development of some kind of gum disease.  The mouthwash will kill the bacteria causing the disease/tenderness, and therefore will eliminate the underlying problem causing the bleeding.

Damn, Rule knows everything!

Although true, the mouthwash also prevents the blood from clotting and thus it'll keep bleeding.  My doctor recommended rinsing my mouth with salt water every couple hours until it was fully healed to take care of germs and bacteria, while letting the holes heal up (and stinging a lot.. what a jerk)

Heh.  Silly Rule.  Yeah, my surgeon said the same thing.  Mouthwash has alcohol in it, which my surgeon said is bey bey bad for holey gums.

iago, I just saw a friend of mine that has a rather extreme form of gingervitus - In the hospital. He had to have a bunch of surgery done and is on a constant IV drip of antibiotics. My advice - don't let that happen to you - listen to your doctor/dentist.

That sucks.  I'm lucky to have healthy teeth and gums, for the most part.  I never brush more than once a day, and sometimes I eat candy right before bed, and I've never had even the slightest bit of a cavity.  I consider myself lucky :)

rabbit

My wisdom teeth came in slanted, pushing at my molars in such a way that there is a small gap between the two, but the top is completely closed.  I have 4 cavaties cause of those fucking wisdom teeth, only 1 of which has been pulled (cause it got infected, ew).  I'm waiting for the other three, then my gums have to close up, then I can get the cavaties filled.  Dammit all.

For the past 7 days, I've been waking up with the taste of blood in my mouth.

I can only thing of one possible explanation: I've become a vampire.

So be careful around me.

Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.
