I wake up today with a really sore throat and tell my dad I'm not going to practice. He tells me I'm just being a liar and I went to bed late and am tired, even though I was in bed by 1, giving me a full 7 hours of sleep. So anyhow, he says if I don't go, he's making me quit the team, so I go ahead and slap him in the face with that one, totally pissing him off. Problem solved.

Well, good news, both ways. My dad quit being an ass about it, but I'm still quitting anyhow (probably) due to the huge meaningless commitment involved (be at every practice, sit bored off your ass for several hours, go home, rinse, repeat).

If you're talking about coaches, all our coaches are guys. I know this because I spent a few hours in the gym welding supports on the speedbags, and I had to speak with about every damn coach in the gym to try to find a wrench, turns out everyone in that place is too dumb to know what a wrench is (or to even respond in some cases), so I left.
