I used to live in walking distance of that theater, and since I went to school with everyone in the area, I might even know the people who did it. Actually, I think it might even be this one Russian dumbass I knew. He's a real moron, the kind of moron that thinks he's cool for doing something illegal.

Remind him killing himself is illegal.  :)

Why would they use deadly snakes?  That seems kind of stupid.
The once grove of splendor,
Aforetime crowned by lilac and lily,
Lay now forevermore slender;
And all winds that liven
Silhouette a lone existence;
A leafless oak grasping at eternity.

Because they're not fatal unless that antivenom isn't injected with a couple of hours.  That's a pretty big time frame...

Plus I'm sure they are trained/bred/or had their venom glands(?) removed.  Also, snakes really aren't all that dangerous if you don't provoke them and I'm sure their handlers were well trained.

dude, these snakes were just released into the crowd...they werent being handled at all.

They were probably caught out in the desert by punk ass kids, totally wild, totally dangerous.

yea, I totally didn't read that.  I came back to my computer with the topic up and only read Brandon's response.  Since I hadn't read the rest of the thread, snakes on a plane was the only obvious thing to think! :)

The snakes were caught and released into the desert, so odds are they were still lethal (otherwise they would have been sold to a pet store or something).

I've lived in Arizona all my life, and have never heard of a domesticated rattle-snake. They just can't be trained.

You can remove their venom gland thingies and stick them in a glass box, though.
