Sept 16, Mexican Independence Day
« on: September 13, 2006, 09:24:17 am »
So yeah, the little town of Mesilla is having a Mexican Independence Day parade & I've been asked to drive in it for our local Congressman (Steve Pearce-R.

Normally, I'd love to drive in a parade & stuff, but for Mexican Independence?...in the USA?...when they dont all speak english & pay taxes?

I don't know...just don't know.

Politely tell the Republican Congressman from New Mexico that you can't can't participate because you are washing the truck to be in the 'Citizenship Day' parade held every year on September 17th since 1952.

You may be the only vehicle in the Citizenship Day Parade but, as long as you wave to people you pass on the street, it counts.
Well SONUVA DITCH!
We've been talking about the Constitution in my gov class, but I never knew there was a citizenship day on the same day that the Constitution was signed!

And yeah, I'm AMERICAN & I don't believe in this WORD-American crap, but 75%? of my state is hispanic & if we don't get them onboard they'll vote for the opponent (well, maybe not, Al Kissling is a retard).
I spose I'll just say no cause I plan on being hung over that morning & I have band at 3...don't want to be too busy again...unless it's a "Go Home Wagon" ;)

You're going to be perfect for politics and you're off to a great start. You'll consider participating in something you don't believe in for the sake of getting a vote . . .

Excellent, you'll lie rather than state your true feelings/reasons. Even though you may have band at three your primary reason is because you feel celebrating Mexican Ind. Day by folks who have chosen to be in America is wrong, you'll use a secondary excuse (or a flat out lie if it is one) so as to cover your ass against the possibility of appearing Un-PC, maybe offend someone. possibly lose some votes? Yup, you're perfect. They are teaching you well.

Why not ask your boy "What's wrong with this picture?", see what he says, find out why he's participating in a mexican independence day parade in the U.S.?
I spose that all does make sense.  Eventhough my excuses are legit I'd rather use my secondary response than just flat out saying "fuck mexican independence when they dont even come here right, how's about a Citizenship Day parade!"

Yay for eye-opennings

Now, all we need to do is to make Mexicop independent!
I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

We should take over Mexico and use it as a Nuclear bomb research facility.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

My dad once couldn't keep food down/couldn't digest food correctly for a month from eating a taco down there. He lost somewhere along the lines of 50-75 lbs, and we were all pretty concerned. I have since grown to... not like Mexico.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of pretty bad stories about food poisoning in Mexico.  I don't think I'd be eating at any "authentic" Mexican resturants down there.  I'd stick to things wrapped in plastic.
