I'd prefer them to be somewhat cheap (<$30.00).  I know, I know, Gears of War is supposed to be better than Rock'em Sock'em Robots, but it's just too expensive.

What about Kameo? Perfect Dark Zero?
errr... something like that...

Warrior

Oblivion, 99 Nights, Dead Rising, CoD 2/3, and GoW
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

Get Gears of War, especially if you have an HDTV. OMG.

You might be right about that, Joe.

Get one.
You send me the money to do so, and I will.

Perfect Dark Zero is very disappointing. Oblivion, CoD2, and GoW(or so I've heard) are probably the best.
The writ of the founders must endure.

Mythix

GoW
Chromehounds
99 Nights
NFS Carbon
Enchanted Arms
Eragon
Oblivion
Fear
Condemned

Those are the ones I enjoyed on mine which had a pretty decent replay value.

Buy a copy of Diablo 1. That still has replay value to me!

.............. Diablo was a good game, but I just can't get into dungeon crawlers like that.  :-\

GoW.

Halo 2 is still going strong.

Oblivion was by far my favorite despite my usual aversion to RPGs.

PGR 3 was a good racer.

Prey - good shooter.  Very creepy.

Save up and get GoW.  It's great.

Guys - is NFS Carbon at all gameplay-wise like Midnight Club 3?  I love PGR but I want to buy an arcade racer.

I have a programming folder, and I have nothing of value there

Running with Code has a new home!

I'll contribute! It's an old topic, but worthy of being bumped, since I am heavily into XBox 360 (I have nothing else!) lately.

- Gears of War
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- PGR3
- Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
- Guitar Hero II
- F.E.A.R. (If you've played the PC version, don't bother, it's practically the same.)
- Rainbow Six Vegas
- Lego Star Wars II (surprisingly pretty awesome, and only cost me $20)
- Doom (if you've never played the original Doom, it's only $10 on the arcade, complete with 4 player multiplayer where you can actually find games, or play co-op!)

Games that disappointed me, but are still worth renting/downloading the demo and buying if you're into it:
- Prey
- Perfect Dark Zero
- Shadowrun

I am also told that Call of Duty 3 / The Darkness are good games, but I haven't tried either. You can take my brother's word for it or not. :)

There are a few good classics on the arcade that are only 800 points ($10) as well. i.e. Bomberman, Castlevania, Doom, Gauntlet.

The best part about the large majority of these games is: you can download their respective demos for free on the XBox Marketplace! Sure, some are extremely short for demos, but it's only bandwidth and you can delete it right after. Am I right? :P

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

The Shadowrun game is a very, very sad game.

I watched my friend (and fellow Shadowrun player) play through the entire demo, and it syncs up to the game in like 2 significant ways:
a) magic exists
b) it's in the future

That's about it.

They basically took a game that had a somewhat loyal fanbase that they owned the rights to and made something completely different.

The magic spells are different, and some even do things that the rules specifically say are impossible (for example, teleportation). They use "essence" totally incorrectly. They use cyberware completely incorrectly. They don't have any of the same weapons or cyberware.

Overall, I was pretty upset with what I've seen of it. If they had called it anything other than "Shadowrun" it would have been find, but to abuse a name like that pisses me off.

I'm waiting for CoD4, which looks plain awesome.  I also played through Gears of War a couple times and I love it.
