I don't think dressing up as Hitler is racist at all. You aren't stereotyping anybody, and you aren't making fun of a race.

It is in poor taste and totally offensive. But not racist.

I dressed up as Jesus for superhero day and all my church friends thought it was pretty cool. :)

The only way I could agree with that is if the person accepted the beliefs Hitler held and was trying to promote them or something.  Dressing up as Hitler isn't naturally racist.

There's a difference between being racist and being offensive or being in extremely poor taste. Yoni may be offended, but that doesn't mean it's racist. Racist generally involves calling out a stereotype, such as "all muslims are terrorists" or "all black people are violent", whereas this is just dressing up as an evil person. But that's not racist!
