So the widespread use of emojis these days kinda makes forum smileys pointless, yeah?

13-15 seconds to serve up pages definitely is not good.  However, not showing much in the way of latency spikes.

Like iago said, there are really nasty conditions out right now. That might be affecting it.

Camel

The internet is pass/fail; weather may cause more people to use the internet, but that would reflect in the ping times. The problem Skywing is seeing most likely has nothing to do with iago's internet connection.

Well then it's skywing's problem... almost everyone in western Canada uses Shaw as their ISP.  :P

You completely didn't understand what he's saying. And I think if it was you're problem, you'd want something fixed too. I can honestly say that in my opinion, Skywing has contributed MUCH more to these forums then you have, with a fraction of your posts. I think it's only reasonable to try to solve issues with the forums so that valuable users can access at ease.

Also, I have noticed a bit of a slowdown when loading pages.

Hmm, I might consider moving back to MTS, in this case. MTS is DSL, which is affected by neighbours a lot better. I'll give it a couple weeks to see if it improves, then look into switching.

- I don't think he's having too much trouble if he's accessing the forums just fine.

But yeah, missing hops suck.

Wow, so... according to his traceroute... it goes half way across the US then back half way across Canada. o_O

There's definitely a problem at the server level, but I haven't tracked it down. :/

It's fine for me, except that it's taking a stupidly long time to load stuff from a certain signature from sidoh.dark-wire.net....*cough*

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I have intermittent latency sometimes, but it's not enough to bother me.
