Can someone plz PLZ fix the title of this thread so that it is grammatically correct ("Who has met whom")?????
I'm not gonna lie.. that'd been bothering me every time I look at the thread. :)

Not to be confused with Murphy's law. :)
Am I crazy or is "that'd" used properly there, but "look" should be "looked"?

The tenses conflict.

I disagree. There's a third kind of of person - the one that uses 'whom' incorrectly in order to sound smart. I hate that guy.

Yeah, I meant to type 'that's', and obviously failed. :)

Yeah, seriously. Whom does that?

You of course meant to say "the one who uses," right?

Agreed. I try to use "whom" correctly, but I'd rather fuck up on the side of "who" instead of just throwing around "whom" to look like I know what I'm talking about.

That said, I was watching Big Bang Theory reruns a while ago and observed Sheldon correct someone about grammar usage. Then he said who instead of (what should've been) whom. oh television.
I like the first 1-2 seasons of Big Bang because it was fairly intelligent. Now it's like most other shows. + shitty canned laughter.

I still think it's fairly intelligent. Maybe it's gone downhill a bit.

I noticed a while ago that Sheldon claimed the atomic clock sync tower was in Boulder, CO when it's actually in Fort Collins, CO.

I truly do enjoy that show. I'd like to think it's my physics background that makes me enjoy it, but you don't need much of one to appreciate most of the humor. Sheldon is also one of the greatest TV show characters to grace television. Just saying.

I'd bet that you're currently bloated like a water ballon on a hot summer's day.

That analogy doesn't even make sense.  Why would a water balloon be especially bloated on a hot summer's day? For your sake, I hope there wasn't too much logic testing on your LSAT.

I hate BBT. I really really enjoyed season 1, and to a lesser extent season 2. Now it's just every nerd stereotype with a myriad of character inconsistencies (one episode Sheldon will strike a realization, the next he's back to being a wad). Also, Sheldon pisses me off. Cute at first and then just annoying. :\

Modern Family, now that's good comedy.

Modern Family is good. I like BBT more. :P

When I watch TV/movies for entertainment, I don't try to look for stilted dialogue and caricatures of characters, but they stand out so much in BBT. As far as characters go, there's only so many times I can watch people be living stereotypes before it becomes ludicrous.

Fair enough. It doesn't bother me, though. This is perhaps because I'm quite convinced that many people like Sheldon (the greats in scientific fields) rarely do a good job of avoiding stereotypes.
