For the sheriff's? No not yet but just in case I do not get in, I want a backup plan. so I figure I will finish off this year of school.
The hiring process is about 5 months of background investigations, psychological exams, physical exams, and all that jazz. so I am praying it will take to the end of the semester then I get hired. Hopefully

I just noticed that my school's web software stores my credit card number and expiration date in plain text, for convenience! How nice of them.

That's probably against PCI, which can lose them their license to collect cards. You should blow the whistle!

Lately I have had ample free time and have started trying to fix much of my music which is not correctly tagged and named to my obsessive compulsive standards. I have slacked off way too much in recent times so I have a lot of crap that needs fixing. While trying to figure out what the program newby had sent me a while ago to help tag and rename stuff (which was astonishingly called "Tag&Rename"), I found one that is a lot better. TagScanner is an awesome free piece of software.

I fucked up my ALSA installation... which resulted in no sound...


2 hours later... I finally fixed it.  Oh man.  I was about to give up too.
