Maybe he just doesn't try in school, a couple of my friends are geniuses who don't care about class. They love showing up the teacher however.

In my opinion, not doing it is just as bad as not being able to do it.  Either way, the student ends up doing poorly.

Maybe it's just as "bad", or even worse, but it just shows that people with bad grades aren't necessarily stupid.

I found his boasting hilarious and quite entertaining. In fact, I called up six of my friends to visit this site just to read that one post. They too, laughed heartily for 12-15 minutes. Soon after, I wrote an entire comedic sketch based on his post, and it won all sorts of accolades and critical acclaim for comedy.

Remind me why you're not in x86, yet?
And like a fool I believed myself, and thought I was somebody else...

Maybe it's just as "bad", or even worse, but it just shows that people with bad grades aren't necessarily stupid.
I never said the people were stupid, but they are categorized that way because they aren't willing to prove their ability.  I had a few friends that were too lazy to do their work but were very capable.  However, they earned poor grades in many classes and are having to retake them at a community college before going on to a four-year university/college. It's silly to have to retake a class because the student doesn't feel like doing anything in it even though he was able to do the work.

Like I said, either way, the work doesn't get done, and the student does poorly.  A person can be the smartest guy in the world, but unless he is willing to prove it and do something with his abilities,  he is just as useless as all the idiots out there.

I've never gotten less than honors on an exam. I've never gotten honors in a class overall.

I nearly failed gym because the teacher was an ass, and I didn't feel like taking his crap. "Hey.. wouldn't it be funny if you got ran over? I wouldn't miss you."
I'd personally do as Joe suggests

You might be right about that, Joe.

Intelligence can be proved in much better ways than obtaining high grades.  You give a good example in your post, where your friends with poor grades still have left you with the impression that they are "very capable."  Also, whether someone is "useless" or not certainly depends on who you ask :).

You and I, or you and my gym teacher? Assuming you meant my gym teacher, that quote was directed at him.

You threatened a gym teacher? That's like more dangerous than threatening a normal teacher. Gym teachers are buff.
One must ask oneself: "do I will trolling to become a universal law?" And then when one realizes "yes, I do will it to be such," one feels completely justified.

That's like saying all math teachers are smart (which isn't true).  My old math teacher could kick the shit out of my old gym teacher.  He rode his bike 100 miles (in one go, plus a bunch of smaller trips) a week.

That's true, I should of said generaly more dangerous. I was making my assumption off the fact that to be a gym teacher (atleast here) you need to be physically fit. I think the likelyhood of a gym teacher being in better shape than a regular teacher is probably high since they're doing activities everyday. Of course this doesn't count for all people but atleast in my area accounts for most.
